1. Low Iron extra clear glass used in the treads and landing. This glass is perfectly clear without the green tint of regular glass.
2. Triple laminated 42.04 mm thick glass. 2 high strength SGP interlayers, 1.52 mm thick each bond the 3 tempered glass sheets. SGP is significantly stiffer and stronger than regular PVB interlayers used to make laminated glass.
3. Stainless steel countersunk head female barrel nuts and high temperature tolerant polyether ether ketone plastic (PEEK) bushes were laminated inside the glass make up. Therefore, there is no visible fasteners on the external tread and landing faces.
4. Ceramic paint anti slip, white frit dot pattern was silkscreened and on the upper glass face.
5. 200x100x6mm steel RHS center stringer with water jet cut support arms from 16mm thick plate welded to support the applied loads.
6. The design allowed for height adjustment in all standoffs that support the glazing. This feature allowed to perfectly level and evenly space all glass sheets and overcome the tolerance variations caused by general metal fabrication.
7. Bespoke aluminum balustrades with height adjustment in each vertical member and rigid clamping by custom machined rose cover nuts around the glazing.
