Registered Training Organisation
Our workplace trainers collaborate with MEGT (RTO) assessors and specialist external trainers to offer a diverse range of training and development opportunities.
Apprentices in Engineering and Metal Fabrication attend Tafe in Coffs Harbour, currently 4 weekly block release sessions per year over 3 years. The Glass, Glazing and Window Trade apprentices attend Tafe in Lidcombe, currently 4 weekly block release sessions per year over 3 years.
Our team of skilled workplace trainers are employed by AMIA in crucial hands-on roles, each with varying skill levels. AMIA collaborates with our preferred Registered Training Organization (RTO), providing supervision, mentoring, and workplace-based training including:
Workplace Health and Safety Training (externally sourced training EG: Forklift Licensing)

AMIA demonstrates a dedicated commitment to building links with local schools through:
School-based apprenticeships and traineeships
Work experience for Year 10 Students unpaid through programs initiated by the Education Departments.
Opportunities for paid student work experience, paid vacation work and teacher professional development experience
Factory tours for school students, Tafe or higher school education teachers, university groups and several government bodies.
