The plant underwent a major transformation during this 6 month period. The company invested some $500,000 on this division with 6 new reciprocators being purchased with the latest technology from Japan in Parker Ironic applicators. 2 manual guns, new forklift and Stainless steel spray booth. The cyclone was replaced with new to ensure maximum efficiency was achieved in reclaiming powder. The 13 meter oven was relined internally, further a new circulation fan was installed and burner to reduce gas waste. The newest powder technology allowed AMIA to cure the powder in a shorter time frame allowing the line speed to be increased. This allowed us to further improve our efficiencies passing on these savings to all our valued customers at a time when we have all seen unprecedented fuel costs spike higher than seen ever before, this was to ensure we’re minimising powder coating costs.
